I woke up when it was still dark, got dressed, and rushed into the kitchen to make my self tea. Today I was leaving and I wanted to make the best of the half day I had left in Rwanda. Theogene woke up a little bit after me and after he made himself some tea we went outside to sit and watch the sun rise. I had never actually sat still and watched a sun rise before and may I tell you it was amazing! Watching as the sky went from black to a light blue to a sunny day was fantastic
The sun finished waking up and so did the rest of the family. The two kids slowly made their way outside to join us as we welcomed the sun to Rwanda. We shuffled our way back into the house where breakfast was waiting for us thanks to Angelique. Warm eggs, rice, and fresh milk sat on the table waiting for our watery mouths to eat them. I sat down and began to scarf down the delicious foods. After breakfast I packed my things and the whole family hoped into the car for the 3 hour drive to the airport. In the car everyone rested there eyes and chatted a little. When we got to the air port I hugged everyone at least 4 or 5 times and thanked them for everything. I went to my terminal and got ready to hope on the plane. It really had been an amazing trip.
